28 Jul Worry – Friend or Foe? by Kathy Cobb
Do you worry about every little thing in your life? Fret over your marriage, your children, job or finances? You are not alone. Worry is something we all do throughout our lifetime and can overwhelm even the strongest individual.
Are you like me?
For me personally, worry is an emotion that I do not always get a grip on right away. My mind likes to swing over to the negative first. What’s a girl to do?
Let Jesus Give You The Antidote
In Matthew, Jesus addresses the problem of worry. His answer – start a conversation with him ,give your fears, worries and negative thoughts over to him. By doing this one action, you engage God into your problem. From there, he helps you see through your worry. He calms your fears and begins to guide you. Faith and hope are restored and the worry begins to fade.
Is this easy? No, but putting his counsel into practice will help you worry less and allow you to have a life filled with hope and peace! My advice, do not let worry rule you. Let God have your tomorrow and learn to live today with gusto!
