22 Oct When I Need Strength by Kathy Cobb
It always amazes me how emotional weakness can sneak up on me. One minute I am extremely strong and confident, but then suddenly Mrs. Doubtful rears her ugly head.
It truly pains me when I become doubtful because a long time ago, I figured out that I am the cause behind my own insecurities. When this happens, I know it’s time for me to speak to my inner self and find out the how and why behind my mental distress.
This negative emotion reminds me that I am over committed and it’s time for me to press the pause button.
The first place I go to is God. By meeting up with him, I am able to slow down and take a deep breath. This one exercise has helped me tremendously to restore my strength. The best part is that my mind begins to rest, and I am more open to tackling and correcting the reasons behind my frustration.
I am so glad that I can “chat it up” with God. I have found He is my safe place, and he will be there for you, if you reach out to him!
