Those negative things attack at unexpected times, its sometimes hard to get away from them, they can hurt, they can try to bring you down. I try to remove them as soon as possible, sometimes those comments sting, especially when you are trying your best, going out of your way to provide support, or are in a vulnerable place yourself. I am letting go of the hurt! I want to make room for the positive! This being said it can be a challenge. People don’t really want to hurt others they want to hurt less, send the sting somewhere else. During the holidays this can be true even more as people look back on their regrets or realize they may be alone. People can be short tempered, stressed and well have really forgotten what this holiday is about. Its about receiving the best gift from our Savior. He is the one who can take care of these hurts, He is our protector , He is the one who came and saved us. He is the one we look to for encouragement. We are part of his plan and as part pf his plan, we are his hands and feet. Those hurting people the ones who hurt you, disappoint you, they are the ones we have been sent to show the true meaning of this day. We have been chosen to rise above, with the prayers lifting us up, to do the right thing, even if it means putting your ego aside, listening to the hurtful words, only to gain understanding and to let someone be heard. Provide that opening for someone, and they will soften their heart, they will open up, they will fill their cracks with the holy spirit, we do our part by being the vessel that God has created us to be and even in the difficult times, we will overcome and we will show what it really means to be a believer who knows their Joy in this world comes from the knowledge of being right with our Savior! Life is meant to be lived with others and that takes patience and knowledge that yes its difficult, yes its not easy, yet this is where we are supposed to be, bringing the light to shine through us, to reflect God’s plan and to lead the way to him. Be a light in your part of the world, you are the difference! Shine my friends Shine!
