16 Jun School Year Has Ended – What are your plans for the next 9 weeks of summer? by Carol Storey
What next? Students begin taking advantage of the warm weather and not having to stick to a strict schedule. They tend to stay up later and sleep in. Most students begin to do more chores and take on more responsibility during the summer. Parents are open to travel more and do things they put off during the academic year. Even home schooled students and parents will put off things until the summer vacation.
Where are you going? Have you planned a trip to the beach? Or maybe to visit family and stay awhile during the summer and enjoy the company of others you don’t get to visit with much during the fast moving academic year? Maybe you have planned a cross country visit to see the sights that you’ve studied throughout the year. Or maybe traveling abroad to other countries and see what happens in other cultures. Maybe a mission trip to build a church or school so some other students can have a classroom to attend next year.
What are your plans for the next 9 weeks of summer?
My nephew wants to come and stay with us for a while. My granddaughter is looking forward to his coming. Both are rising High Schoolers and I can’t believe they are this old. How time flies!! Now, I got to get busy and find some activities for them to do.
Tell me, what are some activities you have done during the summer with your students and families? Tell me the trips, sightseeing tours, music concerts, swimming events, or other activities you have gone to or are planning to go to this summer. Have a great summer!
