I think about my life, the many blessings, the many changes over the last year and I am blown away by all that has occurred. I am thankful that God always has a better plan for us than one we think of by ourselves! So many people, myself included, think we know what is better for us than GOD! Can you believe that, we honestly do.We say we are laying it at the cross and yep the next day we take it right back. We forget to take the time to listen. I had a big decision to make about 18 months ago, it involved moving out of the area, taking another job. My wise friend said have you actually listened to God? I said well, it’s what I think I should do..ummm. big clue there… um no I was not listening! So I humbled myself (because well you know how that goes we can’t actually admit we are wrong sometimes) and I waited and I listened. It took another 6 months for me to realize that yes God was looking out for me in ways I could not even imagine. He opened my eyes to the opportunities right in front of me that I had been ignoring because I wanted the more glamorous life and recognition. That was a tough period, ending in the most amazing outcome for me and my family! It was not at all what I thought I should be doing, it was exactly what God wanted me to be doing. Did it cause heartache giving up what I thought was my great opportunity, you be it did..am I grateful I waited and listened, most certainly. That was one of those silver refined moments in my life!   I am thankful for my friends who told me to wait on decisions, to listen, to stand my ground, to invest my time in praying and listening! I am thankful for the many opportunities that I have explored over the year, they make me a better person, a better mom, a better wife, a better sister and aunt and a better friend! I could not of done any of it without the guidance of the my prayer life. It is not something I talk about everyday. it is something that I live out in my life. Its just a way of being that invades my life so much its just the fabric of everyday life! He really does answer prayers, He really does have our best interest at heart! Listen my friend, really listen and you will hear! Life really is Good! Live Life! Get out there and explore and be thankful for what you have been given!

I am life and fitness coach and am certified in several types of fitness and nutrition areas. I have worked in the public mental health field for the past 25 plus years.
