23 Apr Dismiss the Fear of Failure by De Harris
“If you’re afraid of failure, you’re not prepared.”
I like this quote because it puts any anxiety or fear that you may be feeling into perspective. Lord knows, I’ve had my fair share of both!
It took a minute but now I understand what challenges you are meant to help you grow personally and professionally. When you feel that bit of fear it lets you know that you are doing what you need to to get out of your comfort zone.
What happens is that people allow fear to keep them like a deer in headlights, in a mode of always being frozen and unsure of what to do next. The best way to deal with any apprehension you may be feeling is to ride out the emotion and just get down to business. It’s really that simple.
When you refocus your energy on what’s at hand and put the work in that needs to be done, you are setting yourself to experience less fear while meeting those never-ending challenges that show up in your life. The act of pushing through your fear will give you the confidence to take on even greater challenges, but again none of this happens without you putting in the work and effort needed for you to succeed.
Start today by viewing fear as a sign that you are doing what you are meant to do. Let it be the fuel that pushes you to be all that you are meant to be. You are the only one who can set yourself up for success. No one will do it for you, nor should you expect them to. Sad to say, but most people will not stay on the course toward success and lose out on reaching their dreams and aspirations. Avoid being in that category. Join forces with others who are like minded and keep them close. Let the fact that someone else isn’t supporting you be the acid test to let you know that they do not need to be in your circle of friends and associates. You need a multitude of true cheerleaders lifting you up at every turn. This will keep things simple and help you stay focused because you are not in a barrage of chaos and drama. Give yourself peace of mind and a sense of freedom by accepting that everything will always come down to you and your efforts. You have no time for excuses. There’s just too much to do!
As you take on new challenges and push through your fears you will become that much more ready to take on more in life. Doing the necessary work to succeed helps build your confidence muscles and gives you a sense of accomplishment that you cannot buy. What a great gift to give yourself! Aren’t you ready to begin living life on your terms? Aren’t you tired of allowing fear to navigate your journey? Map out a plan and put it into action. Stop thinking of the reasons why you can’t or shouldn’t and start thinking about how great you are and all that you can do. Once you put the work in, you will have prepared yourself for all the rewards that will come your way and become too busy and fulfilled to allow fear to stand in your way. Start small and give it a try. Let me know when it happened in the comments below.
