Life is a series of adventures, adventures that both test your Faith and build your Faith. I am tested daily, as I am sure we all are to keep the Faith, to understand that God is in everything that we do. Not just the “church” activities. Lately it has been tough finding my way to these church things. People disappoint us, they hurt us and these are the people we had out our faith in. I know confusing right? It’s the placement of Faith that messes us up. We try to find our faith in the things or people around us instead of in the one true God. I look outside and I marvel at his creations. I think for me that’s when I really get it. God is in the details, He is in our surroundings, He is in the face of others. The adventure we meet, are meant to sharpen us, to encourage us to be with us in the tough times. He is not others, he may speak to us through them, he is NOT them! He is God, the one who when I am in tears over a ruined marriage, the death of my Dad or the loss of a dear friend, he whispers to me, he lifts me up! He is the one giving me the courage to step out of the box, to expand my adventures to take chances. Funny as I walked out my door this morning after starting this blog.. God said hey here’s some more adventure as a bear came from behind our garage. It shows me once again that God does indeed have a sense of humor. He likes to mix up our day, get us moving ( and let me tell you that got me moving) I did not feel scared, I felt the awe, the awe of nature, the uncompromising gift that He has given us to see what he created and to he did that for our pleasure. He loves to show us what we overlook, he whispers in the wind to us, giving us the strength to carry on. You realize that all the things we see in nature were designed just for us, his creation, the ones he created in his own image. We are the ones he wantsto marvel at, to teach, to encourage, to support, to guide. He has done that with none other in nature. He gives us the flowers to brighten our day, the birds to delight us, the storms to keep us clear of danger, the sun to warm us. The animals to provide companionship when we feel lost, just as that friend steps into our mess with us, he provides the guidance, the love, the support, he does this with humor and cheer and correction. The correction we need to stay the course to follow the exciting adventure he has for us. Our life in him is the one we need to seek!

I am life and fitness coach and am certified in several types of fitness and nutrition areas. I have worked in the public mental health field for the past 25 plus years. I am also a trained Stephen Minister and Stephen Leader. I have lead numerous bible and accountably groups over the past 15 years.
