Now that the weather is warming up, NOW is a great time to get into shape and burn energy. If you are feeling restless, why not firm up your legs? The exercises below are easy to do, and the results will be extremely rewarding.
Powerful at Home Leg Exercises:
• Squats: Start with your feet hip–width apart and your arms straight in front of you. Bend your knees and lower your body as if you were sitting in a chair. Make sure to keep your back straight and don’t let your knees go past your toes. Hold for a few seconds and then come back up to the starting position.
• Lunges: Stand with your feet hip–width apart and your arms straight in front of you. Step one leg forward, bending your knee and lowering your body until both knees form a 90–degree angle. Make sure to keep your back straight and your front knee over your ankle. Hold for a few seconds and then come back up to the starting position.
• Calf Raises: Stand with your feet hip–width apart and your arms straight in front of you. Lift your heels off the ground, engaging your calves, and hold for a few seconds. Then, lower your heels back to the starting position.
• Step–Ups: Stand in front of a step, bench, or chair. Place one foot on the step and press down through your heel as you lift your body up and onto the step. Make sure to keep your back straight and your chest lifted. Hold for a few seconds and then come back down to the starting position. Repeat with the other leg.
Just think about this, when summer arrives you will have beautiful legs to compliment your summer shorts!
