Want Glowing Skin all Summer Long? Here is My Secret to Radiant Skin! by Julie Hoffman

Summer is here officially, and it can be the best season of the year. We get to spend time outside, and we love to soak up the sun. It’s a given that you will want to have sunscreen on your face, but at the end of the day you feel hot and sweaty. What I would like to discuss now is,what are you washing your face with? When we have been sweating a lot because we were out in the garden or on the beach, our face feels very dirty by the end of the day. And that’s when many reach for the soap because they want to get extra clean.

Reaching for the soap may not be the best thing for you to do. Using soap on your face can wash away natural oils that your skin needs to stay hydrated.  And for extra motivation, hydrated skin doesn’t age as quickly. Not all cleansers are the same though, and by finding one that matches your skin type, you can still get the clean feeling of soap, but the benefits of a targeted cleanser. You can also go a step further with your clean feeling by using a facial cleansing brush. You’ll be able to get your skin 5 times cleaner without any tugging by using one. They look very similar to an electric toothbrush, but of course larger and intended for your face.

And if you still feel as though you need to get cleaner, you can opt to use a gentle cleansing scrub a few times a week. Even dry skin can benefit from using a scrub to get off the dead, flaky skin that can build up and not allow moisturizers to fully penetrate into your skin.

I hope that this was useful information for you and if you are guilty of washing your face with soap, you may be inspired to step out of your normal routine to try something new.
