Let your Warrior Spirit Arise – I Can Do by Kathy Cobb

Insecurity hits all of us. Sometimes we feel fear, deal with it and move on. Other times, fear is so overwhelming we are paralyzed, unable to move forward.

Are you like me? Does insecurity and fear play head games with your mind and heart?

Honestly, there are times when my mind likes to highlight past and present insecurities and pull me into “You Cannot ” way of thinking. For me, this has been a long-time battle of mine. Thankfully, it’s not as often but trust me it still tries to creep in and steal my positive outlook on life. Fear likes to whisper and reminds me of overwhelming situations and times of defeat.

Lessons Learned in Christ – I Can Do

Thirty-five years ago, when I accepted Christ, insecurity was my biggest battle to overcome. I learned that as “God’s Girl” insecurity was not from God. That I was equipped to overcome obstacles because he wired me to be a warrior and operate in a “I Can Do” spirit!

Battle Gear

The first scripture that I embraced to help me overcome insecurity was Philippians 4:13 – I can do everything through him who gives me strength. This became my daily prayer and it worked. Even now, when insecurity tries to worm its way into my mind my “Warrior Spirit” kicks into action and declares God’s powerful truth – I Can Do!

After I recite the scripture, I admit the fear, ask God for revelation, confess and declare it will not defeat me.

The second thing I do is “Praise God” for his help and successful outcome. These two keys have been life changing for me in my battle to overcome insecurity.

It Takes Time

There will be times when your insecurity gets the better of you. If you find yourself in this situation- Do Not Beat Yourself Up! Keep going to God for strength and help. In due season, God will not only help you but teach you how to hit insecurity head on, move on and live a life of “I Can Do”!

If you need prayer, message me and I will pray with you!
